Growing up in Los Angeles, one gets used to unusual things. Unusual foods, unusual styles, unusual music, art, films, cars, clothing. We are pretty accepting of people who are different, in fact, it is a city that is open to what is new, exciting....different.
I was happy to see, on my trip in 2010, something that I always admired, something that is different and yet, a thing that I saw as a child, when I lived in Los Angeles.
A blimp.
There it was, above us, while driving on the freeway heading home to my parents'. It is helium filled, and sort of just floats in the sky, slowly moving, sometimes projecting some advertisement, or colored lights on the sides. Anyhow, I just love the strangeness of a blimp, and am always glad to see it up there. Good thing I wasn't driving or taking the foto would have been impossible!

What's the weather like now in Perugia?
Cold one day, sunny the next. Cold in the house. But we still need our coats or lightweight ones or padded jackets outside. Chilly, and not sunny. I like it like this, no problem for me.
