Gospel Connection 2021 Assisi Italy

I had NO IDEA that this first time experience would be so totally incredibile and amazingly awesome!!

Singing for four days, parties, lectures, experimental use of the voice with top experts from the USA.

And staying in the Domus Pacis in Santa Maria degli Angeli (Assisi) was so peaceful and comfortable, and gave me a home away from home just to think about music, singing, harmonizing, and making new and fun friends.

What a total treat!!

AND there was so much fun, and so many unusual happenings going on continuously, that during the TEAM BUILDING of various groups assembled from the over 150 people present, we had to present a song in a creative way, and I ended up singing as a tenor AND ended up wearing a moustache!!

David Glowacki, scientist and creator of Danceroom Spectroscopy

http://glow-wacky.com/2012/07/05/faraday-discussion-157-assisi-italy/

At a scientific convention,  Faraday Discussion 157,  that my husband organized in Assisi weeks ago, I had the pleasure to photograph the partecipants, both for the convention photo of one hundred people, and during the coffee break of various scientists who were speaking with one another.
One of the partecipants was a young American scientist, David Glowacki, who lives in England. I took his photograph along with a Nobel Prize winner, both present at the convention, Prof. John Polanyi.

In this photo David is showing Polanyi about his invention, something that will also be presented at the Olympics, "Danceroom Spectroscopy" where figures in a room become moving colorful images on a screen.  David let people know that his invention will be part of the Olympics, so we hope to see something on television tonight featuring his work.

The above is a link I found regarding David Glowacki that include my photographs.
Here also is a video of John Polanyi, Nobel Prize winner.

CAMBIO FESTIVAL at the Palazzo di Assisi

http://www.cambiofestival.it/2012/palazzo.html

I LOVE it when I make new discoveries, new places that are often nearby, like in the case of last night.
We drove about twenty minutes to get to the area of Assisi, in Umbria. Umbria is the region where I live, in Perugia, and Assisi is not too far from here, in the direction of Rome.
We went to the Palazzo di Assisi, and were pleasantly surprised at such a magnificent structure. Inside, in the courtyard of this palace, was the viewing of  "Single and Food" by friend, photographer, Vinhicio Drappo. A very interesting collection of single people, and the foods they prepare for themselves!
The photos were projected on an ancient wall of the buildings in the courtyard, while people dined on original tables created out of cardboard (very clever indeed, thanks to Manuela!). The atmosphere was original, interesting and delightful on a summer's night, in the open air. We talked with fellow photographers, comparing our knowledge and gaining new knowledge from the experts.
In the next courtyard a concert was being held.
A wonderful place to visit, I highly recommend it. If you want to see something truly magical, visit the Cambio Festival (link above). Or during the day, you can visit the area, and stop in at the bar next door for an ice cream, which they say is excellent.
PS Also, an exhibition of Antonio Meneghetti of magnificent large glass sculptures, and orignal and ingenious photographs elaborated by Simone Zoccheddu. Both outstanding exhibitions.

CALCIO ITALIANO

Italy won the last soccer game with England and is now in the semi-finals.
Here is a very enthusiastic young boy in the town of Assisi, right after watching the winning game on television.

Assisi - beautiful panorama

Panoramas from Assisi are breathtaking...a paradise for photography.
Il panorama da Assisi ti lasciano senza fiato...un paradiso per il fotografo.

WHO AM I??

WHO AM I??
The best way to know who I am is to see what I create. Take a look at this blog or my other one regarding my art.

Double images....

Double images....
LOVE the double or triple image maker on my Nikon D80. Just set it, and then take two or three pics.

What's the weather like now in Perugia?

Cold one day, sunny the next. Cold in the house. But we still need our coats or lightweight ones or padded jackets outside. Chilly, and not sunny. I like it like this, no problem for me.
