POST OFFICE STORY
Today I went to send a couple of packages. One for a photography competition, the other a small painting.
They were both packed, mainly because I didn't have the patience to go to the post office another day to hear about the cheapest way to mail.
Well, the painting was quite a lot to send. I asked if there would be a cheaper way.
Well, there was, she told me. But I would have to unpack the package and do it all over, right there.
No one was in the place (I knew it would be empty, since it had snowed and nobody likes to go around in their car when it is snowing, and especially end up at the post office). I wasn't afraid, I knew it wasn't going to snow much.
This woman was so patient! She helped me giving me the right envelope with padding, and a pair of scissors, and the tape, and helped me get all the pieces together. REALLY exceptional! And kind, and fun to talk to.
I thanked her for saving me half the amount to send the piece, and I said that my morale was feeling happy and light, thanks to her.
I also told her I would write about her kindness on this blog, because you know, when things are not looking very good (as they aren't here in Italy) if people treat you nicely, it makes a big difference.
THANK YOU NICE LADY IN THE POST OFFICE!!
