Lo scorso 15 marzo mi trovavo nel salotto letterario di Stephanie Seymour a Perugia sorseggiando un ottimo bicchiere di vino. Mi circondavano le opere d'arte ironiche e originali di Stephanie che raccontano la sua idea di donna e il suo modo davvero unico di leggere la vita e svelare la sua anima. Intorno a me artisti, poeti, musicisti e amici che amabilmente discutevano di cultura. Un vero e proprio salotto letterario che ripropone come un tempo un simposio tra sostenitori della sapienza che si ritrovano a trattare di lettere e poesia. La padrona di casa, ottimo anfitrione, ci rivela la sua forte volontà di sviluppare questi incontri per amore della cultura ma anche per far sollevare il nostro spirito dalla routine quotidiana. Osservando Stephanie parlare ci si rende subito conto della sua unicità, che emerge anche dalle sue innumerevoli produzioni artistiche. Fotografa, pittrice, creatrice di scarpe-scultura, le strabilianti Delishoes, illustratrice e scrittrice. Tutto questo si nasconde in una splendida signora amabile, appassionata e imprevedibile che da sempre si dedica all'arte e alla cultura. Attenta al differente, al diverso, sofferma il suo sguardo nell'irregolare che trasmette energia e fa pensare. Utilizza l'ironia come arma trascinandola nelle sue opere e trasportandola nella sua vita per rendere ogni cosa più soffice e raffinata.

On March 15 I found myself in the literary salon of Stephanie Seymour of Perugia, sipping an excellent glass of wine. I was surrounded by ironic and original works of art of Stephanie’s that tell of her view of woman and her unique way of looking at life and uncovering her soul. Around me were artists, poets, musicians and friends that spoke lively of culture in general. It was truly a literary salon that proposes, as long ago an encounter between knowledgeable people who dealt with literature and poetry. The hostess of the house, an optimal hostess, reveals her strong desire to develop these encounters for the love of culture but also to pick up our spirit from daily routine. Observing Stephanie speak we immediately realize how unique she is, that she has emerged from numerous artistic productions. She is a photographer, a painter, creator of shoe sculptures, the astounding Delishoes, illustrator and writer. All this is hidden in a splendid likeable woman, passionate and unpredictable who has always dedicated herself to art and culture. Attentive to what and who is different, she stops her glace on what is irregular, which transmits energy and makes one think. She utilizes irony as a weapon, she pulls in into her artwork and in her life, which makes everything softer and more refined.
