From L.A. back to Perugia

Just starting to get back into this lifestyle in Perugia, Italy, so so different from the one in L.A. Just returned last night.

The trip from L.A. to Italy was long, as usual. Even longer since I went thru Paris airport.
But first, I had to leave L.A.

Tom Bradley Airport is totally incredible, like one of the magnificent hotels in Vegas, I couldnt believe what they have done in the inside, lounges, amazing digital films on the high walls, could have stayed there rather than catch my flight. Videos of dancing girls, legs and shoes that went around like the hands of a clock but with ten or more hands (legs). Amazing and creative, beautiful and captivating.

Then, flight to Paris, airport nice, but no time to admire it, just to get a sandwich (they did have famous quiche Lorraine too, and lemon tarts, etc) but I was a little beat to visit the airport and caught my plane, Air France.
Wonderful airlines, felt like the service was that of a nice restaurant. I started with a glass of champagne, and yes, they uncorked the bottel while I thought "is the cork going to pop thru the ceiling perhaps?). After that  nice meal, meat was excellent, fruit salad, cheese, etc. Then, after having a little bottle of red wine, finished up with the most delicious pear liquer. Now I realize why I got such a good sleep on the plane.

Next flight from Paris to Rome, on a small plane, bumpier ride but ok. Just a drink, and a few crackers.
I started to lose my patience of flying only at the end of the trip. But then, when you arrive in Rome, you still have to drive to Perugia which is another 2 plus hours.

Now I am back. Listening to music and organizing photos on my computer. Quiet, rainy, but interesting, the change from the fast paced Los Angeles to our country town, Perugia.

To be continued....................

Hey Steph,

I can only imagine what it is like to kind of experience two different worlds in close time proximity. The Zen masters say that if we are truly present in each moment, we will experience a sense of peace that transcends the outer environment, because we become close to the innermost connection we have to the all. Easier said than done, but my little attempt at hoping you can enjoy wherever you are. Love, Paulette

WHO AM I??

WHO AM I??
The best way to know who I am is to see what I create. Take a look at this blog or my other one regarding my art.

LOVE the double or triple image maker on my Nikon D80. Just set it, and then take two or three pics.

What's the weather like now in Perugia?

Cold one day, sunny the next. Cold in the house. But we still need our coats or lightweight ones or padded jackets outside. Chilly, and not sunny. I like it like this, no problem for me.
