Ladies of Humans of Perugia

http://humansofperugia.blogspot.it/

These are some of the ladies who said YES to a photo and a short interview on my newest blog about the people who live in this city, in Perugia, Italy.
Very interesting project, taking a lot of time but really worth it.

Humans of Perugia, my very newest blog

Hello,
to those following this blog and to those who just stumbled upon it by chance, just wanted to tell you what I have been up to. And to let you know where my energy has been going lately.

I got involved in something that I had no idea would be of such satisfaction, and such an amazing experience. I started a blog. Another one. But this time, I do something totally new. I stop people on the streets or in shops, or little bars here in Perugia Italy, and ask people if they will pose for  a picture. Then, also, if they will let me know their thoughts about something.

It is quite an experience. Very exciting, and very interesting.

A friend of mine knew about the Humans of New York blog. Someone had started it and had a huge success, they even wrote a book about it.

I actually had done something that reminded me of this, in China. I stopped people and asked for a photo. Only this time, it is in the city I live in, and I then take the words they say and translate it into English. And the things people say often are quite moving. It is quite an experience.

If you want to do something that could really change your life, start a similar blog. Just stop people and talk to them. They will like it, and so will you. I guarantee it.

I met a nurse the other day while working on this Humans of Perugia project

Humans of Perugia......and one of the very interesting women I just met

"Do you have a hobby?"

"I have plenty of hobbies and make lots of things. I make bouquets to celebrate newborns, bouquets for any kind of celebration. I do decoupage on stones, for example with images of saints, here (on her phone) you can see Padre Pio. I make bracelets, neckalaces, earrings and pins, that' all! I make them and then give them in charities and various lotteries.I give them to the friends of the grandchildren of my friends. I give gifts to everyone. I've always helped everybody in my life. I was a professional nurse."

"Lei ha un hobby?"
"Ho moltissime hobby e faccio tante cose. Faccio dei bouquet per nascite, bouquet per qualsiasi celebrazione. Faccio decoupage su sassi, per esempio con immagini di santi, qui (sul suo telefono) può vedere Padre Pio. Faccio bracciali, collane, orrecchini e spille. E' tutto! Li faccio e li regalo per la carità e lotterie. Li regalo alle amiche dei nipoti delle mie amiche. Do regali a tutti. Ho sempre aiutato tutti nella mia vita. Sono stata un'infermiera professionale."

My new project HUMANS OF PERUGIA

http://humansofperugia.blogspot.it/2014/02/barber-shop.html

A new and fun project, where I am learning loads of things about people!
Check it out at the link above.
I stop people, ask them a question (or they just tell me something) and then put it all down on the page. Just like the well-known www.humansofnewyork.com project.
If you see me around town with my camera, you may well just be the next one I interview.

WHO AM I??

WHO AM I??
The best way to know who I am is to see what I create. Take a look at this blog or my other one regarding my art.

Double images....

Double images....
LOVE the double or triple image maker on my Nikon D80. Just set it, and then take two or three pics.

What's the weather like now in Perugia?

Cold one day, sunny the next. Cold in the house. But we still need our coats or lightweight ones or padded jackets outside. Chilly, and not sunny. I like it like this, no problem for me.
