Yesterday I went for a walk. I stopped in a bar, and the most unusual fellows were drinking their little expresso coffee, while dressed in those egg-shaped helmets for bike riding. Looked quite funny, didn't have my camera, what a shame.
But then, I would have asked them to pose and it wouldn't have been the same. Why? Why would I have asked them to pose? Because expresso goes down so quickly in those little cups, the shot (even the shot of expresso) would have been GONE in just a few seconds. Oh well.
THEN I went shopping. I stopped at the Chinese store to get some tofu. They sell EVERYTHING in that store. Food, clothes, nails, paper, and even, rocking horses!! Those were hung above the area of the cash registar. A guy came in, took a bottle of beer (at about 10am), the Chinese boy took the money didn't count it, and put it in his pocket. No receipt. In Italy this is VERY common!!
Then, I finally got home. Put shopping away, and thought about how normal these things are. In every country there are the normal things that seem sort of not normal. But it makes life interesting, that is for sure. Otherwise it would be blah blah blah.
And if there is one thing I don't like, is a blah blah life.
