Paul's Birthday in Australia

https://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=192+Bourke+Street+,+melbourne&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x6ad642c9946306b3:0x13045674ec71fbf1,192+Bourke+St,+Melbourne+VIC+30

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL IN AUSTRALIA!!!

Paul Reti is one of the friends I met on iPeace, a long time ago. An active member, and who helped to keep the site open (like me), we corresponded a lot, and have remained friends over the years and miles. iPeace had its ups and downs, basically closed up the site as we knew it BUT the several closer members remained friends, and it was my very first experience in knowing that the internet can be useful in meeting some really great people out there, including PAUL RETI!!!

Today I saw that Paul was online so I chatted with a "Happy Birthday". Not only did he respond, but sent me a link to where he was having a expresso with milk, in Melbourne Australia!! I saw the street, a picture of the place, and have listed it above as he sent it to me.

AMAZING this internet!! Amazing this world!!! Hope you have an AMAZING YEAR PAUL!!!!!

SUSAN CHANDEL - The Dream Was to Soar through Walls

SUSAN CHANDEL

An extremely versatile writer/friend met on the international website iPeace, has written her first book of memoirs and poetry, "The Dream Was to Soar through Walls", published by Sugar House Press.

Susan, also an artist and singer, was an active writer on the group I started on iPeace, 15,000 Stories. Susan was kind to mention the group in her biography for the book.

Congratulations Susan, so proud of you! Can't wait to read the book!
Steph

SUSAN CHANDEL

Blurb/Review:

In 'The Dream Was to Soar through Walls', Susan Chandel has gathered an exotic assemblage of memoir and poetry that embraces the ethereal,
while remaining fully engaged with the circumstances of a life of loss and survival. Part travelogue and part elegy, this is writing that will intrigue any reader with the courage of its passionate intimacy and the vibrancy of its imagistic surprises.
- Walter E. Butts, 2009-2014 New Hampshire Poet Laureate

Bio:

Susan Chandel was first published in Seventeen Magazine in July 1974. Writing and drawing have been her passions since she was a young child growing up on Cape Cod. Her work has also appeared in The Café Review and the online collection iPeace:15,000 stories. Susan received a B.A. in English from the University of Massachusetts, and promptly traveled North America in search of a reason not to settle down. She returned to New England, raised three children and has worked as an advocate in mental health, rape crisis and domestic violence for over 20 years. Currently, Susan lives with her ornery Chihuahua Cisco in her tree house in mid coast Maine.

iPeace is O P E N

Just to let you know....
iPeace really is OPEN again!!!
www.ipeace.ning.com

I had gotten a lot from that incredible site, it is back online now. Hard to know what direction it will take. Still offers a lot, but not all are there, which is a little sad : (.
However, take a look, find some of the old friends...if you like it, join and pitch in. I am there...but sort of waiting to see what happens, keeping in touch a little, not like old times, but appreciate the fact that it is there.

IPEACE DI NUOVO E' APERTO.

Lose something, gain another

Big loss for me and 22,000 other people. IPeace closes at the end of the month.
Great fun, great encounters, great possibility to share stories, experiences, ideas, and divide inspiration.
BUT I already am feeling I have more time, getting to more creating, seeing more people. I'll miss it, but this is life!

ipeace closes

iPeace the beloved website I have been on is closing at the end of June.
I tried, as did others, to convince the owner creator David Califa to keep it open, sell it to someone who wanted it....but he will not, and will just close it.
We are about 22,000 international people, and the experience on this site has enriched the lives of others.
I had a very exciting experience of creating the group 15,000 Stories....where international writers wrote their stories, enjoyed by many. Two years of new friends, two years of story telling and posting art and photos. It is a very sad time to have to say goodby. B U T
a new site has opened where we are all trying desperately to meet. Not an easy thing to do!!! There was no real way to find this group, it is just by word of mouth and whoever had some emails, we try to find people in this way.
The new site is http://ipeace2.ning.com
Whoever would like to join us, please link onto it and sign up.
It was a great experience, and we are hoping this site will be so too.

STephanie's Galleria d'Arte

On iPeace www.ipeace.me, my friend (musician, artist) Taza opened an art gallery with the name Stephanie's Galleria d'Arte. It was so special of him to do so. People are putting their artwork on it, and lots of information regarding art.
Come take a look at it and become a member of iPeace.

Difficult days on iPeace. iPeace closed down for a day...leaving it's 21,000+ members very confused. Right now there is talk about looking for a new administrator. But actually, I don't know who is comunicating about needing or wanting one.
We will see. In the meantime the mood on the site is quite tense...people don't know what is going on exactly. Time will tell. My group, 15,000 Stories group continues just as everything else. But only, there are a lot of questions that we are asking...and that are not being answered.

Vedremo, come dicono.

Earthquake in Italy.........and more

Haven't been here for a long long time. I guess it is for several reasons. And here they are:
1. Have been super busy planning some shows! Mostly photography and painting and thus
I have been photographing and painting.

2. Have been extremely dedicated to my group on iPeace....do a lot of writing there...but in the back of my mind is "have to get to my BLOG.....have to get to my BLOG". Finally, and happily, the comment from someone anonomous "Something's fishy here" got me back. THANKS!

3. The earthquake has also gotten people to stop and follow what has been going on there, in Aquila, 100 miles from here. I have just written about it on iPeace, will transport what I wrote over to this blog. It has been a disaster, a human tragedy, a huge loss. Everyday something new, some new problems are discussed. It is amazing how far it reaches, into every sector of life. And it is impossible to realize how these people who have lost everything must find the strength to continue and to start anew. But this is the wonderful thing, they are united and moving ahead, with dignity and courage. It is a story with many factors, but we, the public learn from them and from their tragic situation.

MUST GO
will be back
sorry, if you were trying to follow me here...and found that I had stoppped.
But while it SEEMED that way, I was moving even faster than normal over here in Italy.
Take care
Stephanie

VELOCISSIMA RIASSUNTO IN ITALIANO

Gentile amici!
Vi auguro buone cose a voi, amici,
e state bene.
Stephanie

iPEACE - TODAY I WAS FEATURED

A REAL HONOR

Today I was a featured iPeace Person on the fabulous website of iPeace.
The name iPeace says it all - people promoting peace: from all over the world.
Why me?
Perhaps they chose me for my photographs and writings about China?
For my artwork (and some of them ironic, as I like to do them)?
I don't know - but as soon as it happened, I started getting "requests to be a friend"
from all over the world: Nigeria, Spain, Portugal, America, France. So it is a thrill.
Go to iPeace and become a member!!
Great organization, great inspiration, and some fabulous people there.
This is my page on iPeace
or go to the iPeace link
Give peace a chance!!

Here is the page on internet how it appeared
To see it more clearly, click twice on the article.
That's David Califa (creator of iPeace on the left) and me,
Stephanie Seymour on the right.
The writing says "Check out Stephanie Seymour in Italy's page on iPeace.
We continue to share interesting and inspiring profiles of iPeace".
Thanks David and thanks to the staff of iPeace for all they are doing!

PEACE...thinking about it ----------------------PACE....pensandone

When you empty your mind.....
quando svuoti la tua testa
PEACE gets into it....
LA PACE ci entra dentro
The difficult thing is...
La cosa difficile è
Thinking about nothing.
But it is a very peaceful thing to try to do.
Pensare a niente.
This iPeace link is something that I check daily. And thinking about PEACE is a good thing, and a peaceful thing to do.
Try it.
Provaci.
This is the link to iPeace....very interesting and inspiring

PEACE in Montana, U.S.A.

Check it out....iPEACE. A friend, an artist in New York
wrote me and said,
Hey, why don't you sign up...so I did.....
It is a way to meet everyone in the world,
people from all over the world promoting peace,
talking about peace, writing about peace....and in the meantime
showing how the internet gets people together to write and
share thoughts, and in this case, very positive ones.

Here's an image from MONTANA, USA.
Just a peaceful photograph to go along
with talking about PEACE.

TRADUZIONE VELOCE....iPEACE.....

THREE WEEKS TO GO - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MANCANO TRE SETTIMANE

ABOUT THREE WEEKS..........until my photography show
Circa tre settimane fino alla mia mostra fotografica
Incontri RavviCINAti
Orizzonti Orientali
Palazzo Trinci, Foligno
31 Luglio - 24 agosto 2008

This man, at the Dalian Beer Festival salutes me with his hand in a
" three" position but I don't know what it means. MANY of the
people I stopped wanted to make the "peace sign" when posing.
In fact, the feeling I received from the people was one of PEACE, a feeling
of relaxation that we have lost. If I needed anyone's help, they would drop
what they were doing, and spend any necessary time in helping me, never
looking at their watch or saying "I have to go".

FUNNY LITTLE LESSON ENGLISH AND ITALIANO
LEZIONE BUFFA DI INGLESE ED ITALIANO

PEACE - means pace. In English it sounds like
PIECE that means pezzo. PACE (Italian) in English means
rhythm or step. If you are able to remember these words, with their
various meanings, you have the talent to learn languages!

PEACE - significa pace. In Inglese suona
come PIECE che significa pezzo. PACE (Italiano) in inglese significa
ritmo o passo.

WHO AM I??

WHO AM I??
The best way to know who I am is to see what I create. Take a look at this blog or my other one regarding my art.

Double images....

Double images....
LOVE the double or triple image maker on my Nikon D80. Just set it, and then take two or three pics.

What's the weather like now in Perugia?

Cold one day, sunny the next. Cold in the house. But we still need our coats or lightweight ones or padded jackets outside. Chilly, and not sunny. I like it like this, no problem for me.
